So I finally finished my NYU portfolio...whoop-de-doo. I'm going to send it out tomorrow morning via Priority Mail so it will get to them by Wednesday. After all, how long should it take regardless for a piece of mail to get from Brooklyn to Manhattan?
Something juts hit me: why doesn't Tisch allow their applicants to submit their portfolios online instead of mailing them, like how the NYU application works? NOT eco-friendly after all, are you NYU?!?!?!
I'm not going to bust their chops right now about the issue, I'll wait for four-and-a-half months until acceptance letters start coming in the mail, and when I get accepted, THEN I'll get on their case.
I don't think I mentioned this, but my school gives students and faculty three weeks off from school for Christmas break! We got out on the 12th and will return on the 5th on next year! Other schools got out during the 23rd and only get ten school days off. Ha ha!
I needed this vacation: me and my mom are doing better, only becuase we had a big arguent this morning. The reason why I feel better about it is becuase I made her hear my voice, when usually I'm mute and just hold everything in. Not today. Although I did get emotional, I felt MUCH better.
So this marks the last week I'm on vacation. Surprisingly, I can't wait to go back to school. I have most of my homework done, and I feel ready to take on 2009. 2008 was indeed a very shitty year for me, and I'm not going to make 2009 a repeat. Without a doubt, I will rise again...and I'll be skating again. February 13th is drawing near....

I'll be back!...
Back at what, you might ask? Skateboarding, of course! I'm not as stressed as I used to be but it's kinda still too soon to tell. However, I'm not going to make an official announcement until February 13th. I want to see how my grades are since the semester is over before then. Then, I'll be back and kicking ass!
The initial reason why I stopped skating was because I was too stressed out. I was at the lowest point of my life, my grades were slipping and i wasn't getting along too well with people at school or even relatives at home. It was that bad. But the tension is starting to lift off my shoulders, I can feel it. I need some more time, but I feel confident that I may make a return sometime during mid-March. Stay tuned!

Barack Obama fiend (Not me, though!).
My friend Andrew (also on BlogSpot: http://www.blogger.com/profile/04758018372813246530) is completely obsessed with Barack Obama. Although he doesn't express it on BlogSpot, I still would know becuase I stop by his house a few times a week to play video games, especially on weekends when we're killing each other in Call Of Duty 4, or when we're working together playing Guitar Hero: World Tour (I play drums, yay!!!), He has Obama pictures on his wall and laptop wallpaper. He would simply buy a magazine if Obama's face was on it, and he would tear the cover off the magazine, tape it on his wall, adnthrow away the magazine. He doesn't even bother reading the magazine! That's a waste of, like, seven dollars! WTF?!?!?!
Anyway, I don't blame him; after all, Obama made history by becoming the first African-American president of the United States. Now he has to pick up the slack his predecessor George Bush left behind by rebuilding a real shitty economy. And I hope Obama won't have to deal with the media's crap, such as being attacked by flying shoes. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePGvxEtvThI) Ha Ha Bush!!!
I wish the best for Obama, and I hope that he will be re-elected for a second term. I'll definitely take part in the 2012 election.

Return?
I've been giving it some major thought: I just may come back to skateboarding sooner than I thought I would. I'm not as pissed off as I was a few weeks ago so I'll give it further thought.
Also, I'm so glad I'm done with college applications, except for NYU. That is really the only college application I'm giving the time of day because it's essential that I get in there. Then I'll know I'll be back on track permanently.
