I SHAVED MY HEAD!!!!!!

This past Thursday, I did the unthinkable: I shaved my head.

The day after New Year's, my cousins' father insisted that I cut my hair down, just because. I hate it when people who aren't even your parents instruct you to do things that you shouldn't be obligated to follow, yet he bickers and tells me to turn off my iPod when I'm in the car, get off the cell phone after I spend too much time talking to people, etc., etc. Me being the idiot that I am went along with what he said 99.9% of the time, and I fed into his B.S. yet again when my cousins' and I went to the barber and had my hair taken down, just because of their father's idiocy thinking that he's my dad too...when he isn't!

I was not please as to what became of my hair to the point where I said "screw it", and I shaved it all off. There was no reason for me to cut my hair off just because he told me to, I had a right to do what I wanted with my hair, even if it meant growing it long and having it straightened, because that's the style I like to have it: straightened and combed backwards with hair glue holding it down. I always left my house with my hair in a presentable manner, but he didn't care.

So I'm starting from scratch, because the barber botched my hair when I picked it out and it didn't look even at all. My mom was shocked with what I did but she didn't really question me so much as to why I did it. But I'm never listening to anyone when they tell me what to do with my hair. So now I shaved everything off, and I'm growing my hair from scratch, and when it's back to a reasonable length again, I'm doing what I want to do with it, whether I want to straighten it, spike it, or fauxhawk it for the matter.

Hey LRG, I think I commented on one of your post sometime last year. Just wanna make a few comments on this one. Not hear to criticize, but your cousin's father is right. If he tries to boss you around like that you must not be doing the right things. From what I read you seem unfocused. We all use the cell phone and cannot do without it, but if it gets to the point where someone has to actually tell us that we are on the phone too much, it means that we are. What you do with your hair is fine, though straightening it is kind of way off, lol. Anyway, you seem all over the place. Why do you talk to so many people? Do you have any true friends? (My blog is all about friendship) All these people could not be your true friends. Do you have a goal? Are these numerous people talking to you about your goals and or is it just idle chatter. Can you afford that now, especially if you have a goal? It seems like you are lonely and trying to be liked by all these people. If not, how can all these endless conversations really help you with your goals. You seem to be wasting time, buddy. You need to get a life and concentrate on what is important. I see you hanging from what seem like the inside of some train. Is that important to you? Why don't you do this. Turn off the ipod, the tv, the radio, the phone and spend some time alone for an hour. Think about what you want to be. What are your goals? What do you want to be and be doing in the next 1 to 3 years? Think hard about it. Then ask your self, am I doing what it takes to achieve that goal. Am I talking to the right people? Life is short, they say the world will end in 2012, if you believe them. My point is, stop running around trying to impress people. From what I read it seems like that’s your goal. They will see through you and talk behind your back. Remember people are not perfect, they will smile upfront and stab you in the back later. Too many friends are a distraction. If you want your independence, prove to your uncle and parents you can be an A student, not just get by with a C. Prove to them that you have a goal, show them results. If you don't give a hoot about them, then prove to yourself that you have a goal and your working towards it. Don’t mean to sound harsh, but you may have potential, use it. I’m 22, been through that already.
